Phase One
Almost 90% of funeral celebrants are referred to families by the funeral homes. You will receive a phone calls from a celebrant who has taken care of previous families and has experience in supporting families at such a difficult time.
If I’ve been referred to you by a funeral home, then you will receive a phone call from me to setup a time and place to go through all aspects of the service for your loved one.
If you have come across my website and would like to contact me directly, you can call or contact me via the Contact form or call me on my mobile. Avoid email initially in the case of funeral service to ensure fastest response.
Phase Two
I will meet with you and your family to discuss what type of service you wish for your loved one. What may seem the most daunting task of putting a funeral service together will no longer be the case. I will be there to support you in doing this and to ensure you feel in control and do not feel totally overwhelmed at such a difficult time.
At that meeting guidance will be given in regards to
- the structure and content of the full Order Of Service
- what to write in a eulogy or tribute
- photographic tributes
- poems
- music
- suppliers
Order of Service
After our meeting, you’ll be in the position to send clear instructions to the printer to help take any stress out of trying to meet a timeframe. I communicate with your funeral director to let them know of any other wishes or any other information in regards to the service if you’ve not already done so. You will receive a summary of our meeting or follow up guidance to support you with anything you need to organise for the service or remember to do.
Phase Three
I will create and write a service incorporating the eulogy or tributes written by members of your family or friends.
You will receive the full draft to ensure you are happy with all the wording and facts as they are portrayed as well as guidance in respect to the time frame for the chapel, crematorium or graveside. It is very important that services do not go over time and avoid delaying any other subsequent services or funerals.
On the day of the funeral I will arrive no less than 30mins before the service.
