The Process ~ Weddings

Phase one
  1. Fill out the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) and email back to me – at same time set up a meeting asap
  2. Meet with me to finalise the Notice of Intended Marriage and share information about your wedding.  (Allow 1 – ½  hours )
  3. Have with you your identity such as passport & driver license OR birth certificate & driver license & latest divorce certificate if applicable and the original NOIM.
  4. If a rehearsal is required – a date to be set as soon as possible.
Phase Two ~ A deposit of $200 to confirm the booking must be made
You will receive:
  1. A receipt for the deposit amount
  2. A summary email from initial meeting to ensure accuracy of understanding on both parts
  3. A ‘To Do’ list for all parties and agreed dates/times to be done by: Eg Answers to couples’ questionnaire
  4. All details will be entered into the government system to complete lodgement of the NOIM
Phase Three ~ 4-6 weeks before wedding
You will receive:
  1. A draft ceremony with the information collected from you and your partner
  2. A summary of all the details you’ve provided to me re the NOIM and ID for you to check and ensure all dates, spellings etc are correct
  3. A request for any outstanding information needed to complete paperwork/ceremony and organise a meeting to have final paperwork signed and tie up any loose ends.
  4. A final invoice of amount outstanding to be paid 4 weeks before the wedding 
Phase Four ~ 1 week or less before your wedding day
  1. I will contact you to ensure everything is ready for the big day!
  2. I will make any last minute changes to ceremony if required and practice it
  3. On the day, I will arrive 1 hour before the ceremony is due to begin and setup
Phase Five ~ After your wedding
  1. After your ceremony I will begin to pack up as your being congratulated or having photos taken.
  2. I usually leave the venue within 30 – 45 mins after your ceremony
  3. Your marriage will be registered within 24 hours and your documents will be uploaded  into the government system
  4. Your certificate is ordered at the same time your marriage is registered
  5. I will send you relevant numbers for marriage registration and notification alongside receipt for marriage certificate ordered on your behalf from the births, deaths & marriage dept
  6. I will continue to keep in contact with you until you have received your certificate and that all details on it are correct.  (There is no reason for any errors to be on your certificate if you’ve checked the summary sent to you during phase 3 above)
  7. If you do not receive your certificate for whatever reason, I will investigate and help you to obtain it (sometimes they have gone astray, but this is now rare
